1. General Policy
At QuizMagic.io, we strive to provide excellent service and customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be provided for our premium subscription services.
2. Subscription Refunds
Annual Subscriptions: QuizMagic offers annual premium subscriptions. You may request a refund within 15 days from the date of purchase. Refund requests submitted after this 15-day window are not eligible.
Manual Renewal: Our subscriptions do not auto-renew. If you choose to renew your annual subscription, the same 15-day refund window applies from the date of the renewal purchase.
Partial Refunds: We do not provide prorated refunds. If your refund request is approved, it will be issued as a full refund of the eligible purchase. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
3. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Refund requests submitted within 15 days from the date of purchase
- Technical issues that prevent you from using the service within the 15-day refund window
- Duplicate charges or billing errors
- Service failure or extended downtime that significantly impacts your ability to use the platform
- Dissatisfaction with premium features within the 15-day refund window
Important: Even if your request falls within the 15-day refund period, it may be denied if our records show extensive use of QuizMagic's premium features (see Section 5).
4. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be provided in the following situations:
- Requests made after the 15-day refund period from the date of purchase
- Violation of our Terms of Service resulting in account termination
- Change of mind or lack of use after the 15-day refund period
- Requests for refunds due to temporary service interruptions or maintenance
- Accounts that have extensively used premium features (e.g., generating multiple quizzes, using AI Essay Grading, converting YouTube videos to quizzes, or uploading files), even if the request is made within the 15-day refund period
5. Fair Use and Extensive Usage
Refund eligibility may be revoked if the account shows significant usage of premium features during the 15-day refund window. Extensive use of features such as AI-powered quiz generation, AI Essay Grading, YouTube to Quiz conversion, file uploads, and unlimited quiz saves indicates that the service was consumed and delivered as described. In such cases, a refund will not be granted as the value of the subscription has already been realized.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Contact our support team through the Contact page or email support@quizmagic.io
- Include your account email and subscription details
- Provide a clear explanation of the reason for your refund request
- Submit your request within the eligible refund period
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the subscription. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
8. Free Plan Limitations
Our free plan has usage limitations (10 generations per month, 2 per day, no file uploads, no YouTube source, no AI essay grading). These limitations are clearly stated and are not grounds for refunds. Users are encouraged to test our free features before upgrading to premium.
9. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your payment provider instead of contacting us directly, we may need to suspend your account pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any billing disputes.
10. Service Credits
In cases where a full refund is not applicable, we may offer service credits or extended subscription periods as an alternative resolution. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to users via email or through our platform. The updated policy will apply to all future subscriptions.
