You can upload text, documents, images, paste YouTube video links, or enter your topic, and our AI will instantly generate a variety of question types and summaries for you.
What file formats can I upload?
You can upload PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT files, and even images (JPG, PNG), or paste YouTube video links to generate quizzes. Our AI extracts text from all these formats (including video transcripts from YouTube) and generates quizzes from the content.

How do I generate a quiz?
It’s simple!
- Log in to your QuizMagic account
- From your Dashboard, you’ll see the main quiz creation options:
- Upload File – Upload PDF, Word, PowerPoint, or image files
- Enter Text – Paste or type your content directly
- Enter Topic – Let QuizMagic generate questions from any topic
- YouTube Link – Extract content from YouTube videos (with transcripts)
- My Uploads – Use previously uploaded files
- Click any card to go directly to the Quiz Generator with that input method pre-selected
- Configure your quiz – Set the number of questions, question types, difficulty level, and cognitive framework
- Click “Generate Quiz” and your quiz will be ready in seconds!

What types of quizzes can I create?
QuizMagic.io supports various quiz types, allowing you to create diverse and effective assessments:

What is a Mixed Quiz Type?
A Mixed Quiz Type allows you to create quizzes with multiple question formats in a single quiz. You can combine different question types (like Multiple Choice with True/False questions) and specify how many questions of each type you want. This gives you maximum flexibility to create diverse and engaging assessments.
3. Sharing, Grading, and Integrity (Advanced Features)
How do I auto-grade quizzes using Smart Sharing?
Auto-grading is achieved through our Smart Sharing feature, which is necessary for tracking student performance and maintaining academic integrity.
Setting Up Auto-Graded Quizzes:
- Save your quiz: After generating, click the “Save Quiz” button.
- Enable Smart Sharing: Go to your Saved Quizzes page and click “Sharing Options.”
- Create a Session: Choose the “Smart Sharing” tab.
- Configure session settings: Define your Session Name and Time Limit (optional). You may also enable Anti-Cheating. Then click on “Create Session”.
- Share the link: From your Saved Quizzes page, click the “View Session” button or go to the Smart Sharing page and locate the session you created. Under the “Actions” column, click the “Share link” button.
How Auto-Grading Works:
When students complete the quiz, QuizMagic.io instantly:
- Calculates their score and percentage.
- Records the time taken.
- Saves all their responses.
- Monitors for any violations (if anti-cheating is enabled).
This works automatically for all question types: Multiple Choice, True/False, Fill in the Blanks, Short Answer, and Mixed Quizzes.
Tracking Student Performance:
QuizMagic’s Smart Sharing feature provides comprehensive student tracking:

When the Anti-Cheating feature is enabled, the system monitors for:
- Tab switching (leaving the quiz page).
- Copy/paste attempts.
- Right-click blocking.
- Fullscreen exit detection.
- Developer tools usage.
The system automatically submits the quiz if violations occur. All violation data is recorded with timestamps and types for your review.
Can I save and share my quizzes?
Yes!
- Free users can save 1 quiz and 1 summary and share that saved quiz using both Simple and Smart Sharing methods (including anti-cheating and tracking).
- Premium users can save unlimited quizzes & summaries, share them all using both methods, and export them as PDFs with custom headers and footers.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your account settings. Your plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you won’t be charged for the next cycle.
How secure is my data?
We take data security seriously. Your uploaded content and generated quizzes are encrypted and stored securely. We don’t share your content with third parties, and you can delete your account and data at any time. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.
Why doesn’t the site load on my school/office WiFi?
Some corporate, school, or public WiFi networks block certain cloud services for security reasons. If QuizMagic.io doesn’t load on your WiFi but works fine on mobile data, your network is likely blocking our backend services.
