Step 1 – Create your free account
Sign up at quizmagic.io using email, Google, or Facebook. No credit card needed. You immediately get 2 free generations per day and 10 per month (shared between quizzes and summaries).
Step 2 – Choose your source
From the dashboard, pick one:
- Upload File – PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), Text (.txt), or images (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP). Free: 1 file up to 10 MB. Premium: up to 10 files.
- Paste Text – Up to 500,000 characters.
- Topic Name – Just type a topic and let AI handle the rest.
- YouTube URL – Premium only. Paste any video link.
- My Uploads – Reuse source files you’ve previously uploaded to QuizMagic.
Then configure:
- Question type (MCQ, True/False, Fill-in-the-Blanks, Short Answer, Essay, or Mixed)
- Number of questions (Free: up to 10, Premium: up to 100)
- Difficulty
- Optional: cognitive framework (Bloom’s Taxonomy, SOLO Taxonomy, or Mixed mode combining both)
Step 3 – Generate, share, and grade
Click Generate Quiz. Your quiz is ready in under 30 seconds. Then:
- Simple Sharing – Anonymous link, no student tracking, no account required.
- Smart Sharing (Premium) – Collects student name, auto-grades, tracks attempts in real time, and supports anti-cheating settings (tab-switch detection, attempt limits, time limits).
- Export as PDF or Word (.docx) for printing.
- AI Essay Grading (Premium) – For essay quizzes, spend 1 essay token to grade up to 50 student responses with rubric-based AI feedback.

What file formats can I upload?

Can students take quizzes without an account?
Yes. Simple Sharing is fully anonymous. Smart Sharing asks for the student’s name (and optionally email) but does not require them to create a QuizMagic account.
When do my free limits reset?
The daily limit (2 generations) resets at midnight in your local time. The monthly limit (10 generations) resets on the 1st of each month.
Are my quizzes private?
Yes. Saved quizzes and summaries are private to your account unless you generate a share link.
What’s the difference between Bloom’s, SOLO, and Mixed?
Bloom’s targets cognitive levels (Remember → Create). SOLO targets structural complexity (Unistructural → Extended Abstract). Mixed combines both in one quiz — great for differentiated assessment.
How does AI Essay Grading work?
Premium users get 5 essay tokens/month. Spend 1 token in a Smart Sharing session to AI-grade up to 50 essay responses against a rubric. You can review and override any AI score before releasing grades to students.
